Chief Executive Officer di una startup focalizzata sulla medicina genomica. La sua carriera nella ricerca sulla terapia genica è iniziata al Children’s Hospital di Philadelphia e all’Università della Pennsylvania. Si è poi trasferito in Francia, dove ha lavorato come ricercatore indipendente all’Istituto Nazionale Francese della Salute e della Ricerca Medica (INSERM) e l’istituto di R&D Genethon. È stato Chief Science and Technology Officer presso Spark Therapeutics a Philadelphia. Tesoriere e membro del consiglio di amministrazione dell’American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT), fa inoltre parte dei comitati scientifici di varie organizzazioni non profit e aziende biotecnologiche. È stato membro della faculty all’Università Pierre e Marie Curie di Parigi e l’Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Federico ha conseguito una laurea in biologia e un dottorato di ricerca in biochimica e biologia molecolare presso l’Università di Ferrara. Ha inoltre un MBA alla Drexel University

His career in gene therapy research began at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. He then moved to France, where he served as an independent investigator at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the R&D institute Genethon. More recently, Federico was the Chief Science and Technology Officer at Spark Therapeutics in Philadelphia. Federico is a treasurer and board member of the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT). He also serves on the scientific advisory boards of various non-profit organizations and biotech companies. Previously, he was a faculty member at Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, and at Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. Federico holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Ferrara. He also has an MBA from Drexel University.
