Trieste Next

With its 2 Universities and over 30 international research centres, Trieste is undoubtedly an international Capital of Science. Thanks to its strategic geographic position − at the centre of the Euroregion and along the border between the so-called“old” and“new” Europe −,Trieste aims at becoming a global hub of scientific excellence and at pursuing innovative partnerships with the corporate sector.

Since its 1st Edition, Trieste Next was designed as a temporary “observatory” and “laboratory”, thus eventually becoming an international showcase where state-of-the-art applied research, new technologies and innovative companies meet. Technology transfer is a key factor, since without research and innovation there is no growth nor economic development. Trieste Next aims at raising the awareness on the issue, thus promoting the importance of partnerships between academia and the private sector.

The 13th Edition of Trieste Next-Festival of Scientific Research is scheduled on September 27-29, 2024.
