Rita Nogherotto è ricercatrice presso il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) e il Centro internazionale di fisica teorica “Abdus Salam” (ICTP) di Trieste. Si è laureata in fisica ed ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in microfisica delle nuvole presso l’Università di Trieste. Si occupa di modellistica climatica e di rappresentazione degli eventi atmosferici estremi e dei rischi ad essi associati. È attivamente coinvolta nella divulgazione scientifica nelle scuole, con particolare attenzione ai cambiamenti climatici e alle loro conseguenze.

Rita Nogherotto is a physicist and a researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), as well as at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. She holds a degree in physics and a PhD in clouds microphysics from the University of Trieste. She works on climate modelling and extreme atmospheric events representation and their associated risks. She is actively involved in science dissemination in schools, with a special focus on Climate Change and its impacts.
