Abstract
The Centro Protesi Inail is one of Europe's leading facilities operating in the field of prosthetics and rehabilitation. Active since 1961, the Centre, in addition to manufacturing custom-made medical devices and supplying different types of orthopaedic aids, carries out significant research activities aimed at developing innovative solutions for its users, both those injured at work and those assisted by the National Health Service. At Trieste Next, the Centro Protesi Inail will present its vision of the future in this field, showing the important results of its research projects and prospective directions, ranging from osseointegrated prostheses to assistive and rehabilitative robotics, from frontier technologies that make use of artificial intelligence to bionic surgery. A glimpse into a future that is not so far away today.
