SPACE 08. HUMANS AND MACHINES: COLLEAGUES OR COMPETITORS? ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AT THE SERVICE OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETING

Have you ever had to translate? Do you think that today’s technology is enough to communicate in a language you don’t know? Challenge yourselves: teachers and students are ready to explain what it means to translate and interpret today in the age of AI and new technologies. You will have the chance to translate various types of texts (comics, travel guides, poems, etc.) and subtitle videos. Young professionals will show you what simultaneous and consecutive interpretation is and invite you to choose from numerous languages for a practical translation/interpretation experience!

Curated by the Department of Legal Sciences, Language, Interpretation and Translation, in collaboration with Quadrato Culturale T.E.T.R.I.S.S. [Testi E Traduzioni: Ricerche + Invenzioni di Sistemi Segnici] – IPS-TM project funded by Regione Autonoma FVG, Intertitula (International Subtitling Agency)
