La Banda Berimbau è un gruppo di percussioni brasiliane nato a Trieste nel 1999 e formato da musicisti di varie regioni italiane e paesi stranieri. Nel loro show percussivo vengono proposti ritmi provenienti da differenti zone del Brasile, e composizioni originali moderne, nello stile delle scuole di samba di Rio e dei blocos afro di Salvador de Bahia, dove l’energia delle percussioni fa da padrona. È tra i gruppi più attivi e rinomati in Italia nel genere, avendo al suo attivo centinaia di esibizioni in situazioni di vario tipo, dai concerti alle parate di strada, in Europa, Sud America e Medio Oriente. In Italia ha partecipato a svariati festival musicali e al Carnevale di Venezia. Ha anche aperto i concerti di celebri artisti brasiliani come Gilberto Gil, Toquinho e Beth Carvalho. Oltre all’attività bandistica, organizza corsi di percussioni brasiliane sia per adulti che per bambini e ragazzi.

Banda Berimbau is a Brazilian percussion group founded in Trieste in 1999 and formed by musicians from various Italian regions and foreign countries.
Their percussive show features rhythms from different parts of Brazil, and modern original compositions in the style of the samba schools of Rio and the Afro blocos of Salvador de Bahia, where the energy of percussion plays the leading role.
It is among the most̀ active and popular groups in Italy in the genre, having to its credit hundreds of performances in a various kinds of situations, from concerts to street parades, in Europe, South America and the Middle East. In Italy, he has participated in a variety of music festivals and the Venice Carnival. The band has also opened concerts of famous Brazilian artists such as Gilberto Gil, Toquinho and Beth Carvalho.
Every year the band organizes Brazilian percussion courses for both adults and children and youth.
