Carlo Baccigalupi si occupa di cosmologia fisica e l’universo primordiale, teoria, analisi e interpretazione di osservazioni astrofisiche e cosmologiche, in relazione al fondo cosmico di radiazione, struttura a grande scala dell’universo, onde gravitazionali cosmologiche. Ha studiato a Pisa, Ferrara, Chicago, Berkeley, Heidelberg, e collabora con diversi centri in Europa, America ed Asia. Ha ruoli di responsabilità e coordinamento in sforzi globali per osservazioni astrofisiche e cosmologiche e ha pubblicato centinaia di lavori su riviste internazionali, organizzato e partecipato a decine di conferenze internazionali.

Carlo Baccigalupi research interests include Physical Cosmology and the Early Universe, Theory, Analysis and Interpretation of Cosmological and Astrophysical Observations, concerning the Cosmic Microwave Background, Large Scale Structure, and Cosmological Gravitational Waves. He has studied in Pisa, Ferrara, Chicago, Berkeley, Heidelberg, worked in several institutions in Europe, America and Asia. He has roles of responsibility and coordination in global efforts for cosmological and astrophysical observations, and has published hundreds of peer reviewed papers, organized and participated to tens of international conferences.
