Elsa Fornero è Professore Onorario di Economia all’Università di Torino, dove ha coperto la cattedra di Economia Politica fino al 2018; Honorary Senior Fellow, Collegio Carlo Alberto (www.carloalberto.org) e Coordinatore Scientifico del CeRP (Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies (http://www.cerp.carloalberto.org). Vice Presidente di SHARE-ERIC, infrastruttura di ricerca europea (http://www.share-project.org/ ) e dell’Observatoire de l’Epargne Européenne (Parigi, www.oee.fr); membro del Research Committee dell’OECD International Network on Financial Education, http://www.oecd.org/finance/financial-education/; dell’Advisory Council di GFLEC (Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center), Washington DC e research fellow di alcune istituzioni di ricerca europee. Svolge attività di key-note speaker, editorialista (La Stampa) e opinionista televisiva. E’ stata consulente della World Bank per le riforme previdenziali in alcuni Paesi dell’Europa dell’Est e Consigliere di Amministrazione di Intesa-SANPaolo e attualmente di Italmobiliare e di Buzzi Unicem. E’ stata Ministro del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali con delega alle Pari Opportunità nel Governo guidato da Monti (2011-13), periodo nel quale ha realizzato la riforma previdenziale e quella del mercato del lavoro. Elsa Fornero is Honorary Professor of Economics at the University of Turin (former Full Professor). She is also Scientific Coordinator at CeRP (the Center for Research on Pensions and Welfare Policies, which she founded in 1999), Vice-President of the Observatoire de l'Epargne Européenne. She is Honorary member of the Académie de Comptabilité, Research Fellow at Netspar, Policy Fellow at the IZA Institute for the Study of Labour, member of the Research Committee of the OECD International Network on Financial Education and of the Scientific Committees of a few research and cultural institutions such as the FutuRes Policy Lab and Fondazione Luigi Einaudi of Rome. She writes op-ed for La Stampa and is active in public debates. She has been a consultant on pension reforms for the World Bank. From November 2011 to April 2013, she served as Minister of Labour, Social Policies and Equal Opportunities in Italy’s “technocratic” government.
