Maria Cusinato è psicologa e psicoterapeuta. Ha un dottorato di ricerca in Medicina dello Sviluppo ed è specializzata in psicoterapia cognitivo comportamentale con formazione specifica nelle terapie di Terza onda: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) e Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). È professoressa a contratto presso la Scuola di Medicina dell’Università degli Studi di Padova. Da anni si occupa di clinica e ricerca presso l’Azienda Ospedale Università di Padova con particolare interesse circa le funzioni cognitive e l’adattamento psicologico di bambini con malattie croniche, come diabete tipo 1, malattia oncologica, prematurità, obesità.

Maria Cusinato is a psychologist and psychotherapist. She has a PhD in Developmental Medicine and is specialised in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy with specific training in Third Wave therapies: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is an adjunct professor at the School of Medicine of the University of Padua. For years she has been involved in clinical and research work at the University of Padua Hospital with a particular interest in the cognitive functions and psychological adaptation of children with chronic illnesses, such as type 1 diabetes, oncological disease, prematurity and obesity.
