Giovanni Grandi è professore ordinario di Filosofia morale presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche e Sociali dell’Università di Trieste, dove insegna Etica Pubblica e Conflitti, Giustizia e Pratiche riparative. È membro del Consiglio Scientifico dell’Istituto Internazionale Jacques Maritain, del Comitato Scientifico delle Settimane Sociali dei Cattolici Italiani e del Consiglio Scientifico del Centro Studi sulla Sofferenza Urbana – SOUQ di Milano. Dirige la Scuola di Antropologia applicata dell’Istituto Jacques Maritain. È tra i fondatori dell’iniziativa “Parole O_Stili” per la promozione di stili di comunicazione non violenti online (paroleostili.it). Si occupa in particolare dello sviluppo del dibattito scientifico e delle pratiche di Restorative Justice. È autore di numerosi studi scientifici e saggi divulgativi in antropologia e filosofia morale.

Giovanni Grandi is a full professor of Moral Philosophy at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Trieste, where he teaches Public Ethics and Conflicts, Justice and Restorative Practices. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the International Jacques Maritain Institute, the Scientific Committee of the Social Weeks of Italian Catholics, and the Scientific Council of the Center for Urban Suffering Studies - SOUQ in Milan. He directs the School of Applied Anthropology of the Jacques Maritain Institute. He is one of the founders of the "Parole O_Stili" initiative for the promotion of non-violent online communication styles (paroleostili.it). He is particularly involved in the development of scientific debate and Restorative Justice practices. He is the author of numerous scientific studies and popular essays in anthropology and moral philosophy.
