Paolo Giordano è nato a Torino nel 1982. Ha un dottorato in fisica ed è autore di cinque romanzi: La solitudine dei numeri primi (Mondadori 2008, Premio Strega e Premio Campiello Opera Prima), Il corpo umano (Mondadori 2012), Il nero e l’argento (Einaudi 2014 e 2017), Divorare il cielo (Einaudi 2018 e 2019) e Tasmania (Einaudi 2022, Premio della Lettura). Per Einaudi ha pubblicato anche i saggi Nel contagio (2020) e Le cose che non voglio dimenticare (2021). Ha scritto per il cinema (Siccità, We Are Who We Are) e il teatro (Galois, Fine pena: ora). Collabora con il Corriere della Sera.

Paolo Giordano is an Italian writer. With his debut novel, "The Solitude of Prime Numbers", he was the youngest ever winner of Premio Strega. His latest novel, "Tasmania", was awarded as Best Book of 2022 by il Corriere della Sera.
Giordano's activity includes non-fiction, like "How Contagion Works", journalism and reportage. He also works as a screenwriter (the HBO series "We Are Who We Are" and the movie "Drought"). Giordano has a PhD in theoretical particle physics and lives in Rome. His books have been translated in over 40 countries.
