Payal Patel è Associate Programme Officer dell’unità Capacity Building della TWAS. Si è laureata con lode nel 2005 presso il King’s College di Londra, dove nel 2006 ha conseguito anche un Master in Ambiente e Sviluppo. Nel 2011 ha iniziato a lavorare al programma di Borse di Studio Sud-Sud della TWAS, contribuendo inoltre alle attività di raccolta fondi e allo sviluppo di nuove iniziative. Nel 2015 ha iniziato a lavorare al programma Grant di Ricerca, il programma di più lunga durata della TWAS. Attualmente coordina e supervisiona diversi programmi finalizzati a rafforzare le capacità degli scienziati. Ciò le ha consentito di ampliare le sue conoscenze in questo campo, in particolare per quanto riguarda i paesi in via di sviluppo

TWAS Associate Programme Officer
Payal Patel is an Associate Programme Officer in the Capacity Building Unit at TWAS. She graduated with her BA (Hons) in 2005 and obtained her Master’s in Environment and Development from King’s College London in 2006. She joined TWAS in 2011 where she initially worked on the South-South Fellowships Programme. She was also involved in fundraising and new initiatives at TWAS. In 2015 she began working on the Research Grants Programme, which is TWAS’ longest standing programme. She is now working on various capacity building programmes at TWAS, which has provided her a breadth of knowledge on capacity building programmes, in particular in the developing world.
