Sumea Klokic ha studiato Chimica presso la Graz University of Technology (Austria), dove ha conseguito una laurea e un doppio master in chimica inorganica, chimica fisica e chimica teorica. Durante gli studi di dottorato, Sumea ha lavorato presso beamline austriaca SAXS di Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, specializzandosi nello sviluppo di sistemi di film metallorganici fotoreattivi. Il suo lavoro ha riguardato anche la caratterizzazione delle dinamiche strutturali, utilizzando avanzate tecniche analitiche che sfruttano la luce di sincrotrone. Il suo lavoro scientifico è stato ampiamente riconosciuto e ha ricevuto premi da istituzioni come l’Accademia Austriaca delle Scienze, la Società dei Chimici Austriaci e il governo austriaco. Attualmente è ricercatrice post-dottorato presso il consorzio CERIC-ERIC e la sua ricerca si concentra sui sistemi foto-reattivi allo stato solido.
Sumea Klokic
Sumea Klokic studied Chemistry at the Graz University of Technology (Austria), where she has received her bachelor’s and dual master’s degrees in inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and theoretical chemistry from the very same university. During her doctoral studies, Sumea has worked at the Austrian SAXS beamline at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste (Italy) specializing in the development of photo-responsive metal-organic film systems. Her work also involved the comprehensive characterization and deduction of structural dynamics using advanced synchrotron techniques.
Her scientific work has been widely recognized as she received awards from institutions such as the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Society of Austrian Chemists, and the Austrian Government. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at CERIC-ERIC, with her research focus set on photo-responsive solid-state systems.
